Soy Mujer…I am a Woman!
Last Friday, Cabrini Immigrant Services-NYC celebrated Women’s History Month with our beautiful clients, coming together for an afternoon of music, reflection, and community.
During lunch, we enjoyed a performance by the Ivalas Quartet and took time to write about what being a woman means to us. We shared personal experiences and words of empowerment, creating a collage called “Soy Mujer.” We also explored a gallery wall honoring women like Celia Cruz, Mamá Tingó, Mother Cabrini, and Sonia Sotomayor. To close, we gathered in a circle to reflect on our time at Cabrini and share something we’re proud of about ourselves. It was a wonderful way to honor the strength and stories of women in our community.
