We want everyone who visits the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.
What are we doing? To help us make the Missionary Sisters website a positive place for everyone, we’ve been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.
The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Missionary Sisters website.
How are we doing?
We’re working hard to achieve our goal of Level AA accessibility, but we realize there are some areas that still need improving. The following information explains what we’re doing to make that happen.
3.1.1: Language of Page PDFs lack language identifier. We plan to address this as a part of an accessible overhaul to our PDF content.
2.4.2: Page Titled PDFs lack title attribute. We plan to address this as a part of an accessible overhaul to our PDF content.
1.3.1: Info and Relationships PDF content has not been optimized for accessibility. We plan to address this issue in the future.
1.1.1: Non-text Content We are in the process of adding and revising ALT text on all images on the website and plan to have this completed by the end of 2018.
