Current ministry: Missioned at Sacred Heart Convent in New York City
What attracted me to a life as a Missionary Sister: A visitation to the sisters’ convent. Their welcoming spirit, hospitality and prayerfulness and love of the Sacred Heart.
Experience that convinced me that religious life was the right path for me: I felt the call at my confirmation. The desire to enter and serve the Lord has always been with me.
Favorite prayer or scriptural quote: Prayer: Hail Holy Queen. Quotes: From various seasonal books that deepen my prayer life.
Favorite way to pray: In my room, with the door closed , in silence.
Blessings and challenges of community life: Being in an international community. Meeting Sisters of diverse cultures. The honesty of sister friends who help me to grow.
What I love most about being an MSC: Being with God’s people. Having people entrusting their hardships, and joys, and praying with them.
Best loved ministry: All – east or west – meeting divers people and doing diverse jobs.
What I do for enjoyment: Going to movies. Watching mysteries on TV. Going to museums. Being outdoors with nature and the beautiful mountains.
People might be surprised to know that I… my favorite food is a good Italian meal!.
My advice for those who are in discernment: Pray – take the time and go with your heart. Yo will know what God wants – not that all is given at once.
Favorite resources that I would recommend for those in discernment:
Talk to a spiritual director. Go on a retreat. Prayer.
Have great faith that God is calling you to serve him and to follow your heart.
