What attracted me to a life as a Missionary Sister:
My desire to serve the poor in foreign lands.
Experience that convinced me that religious life was the right path for me:
By serving the poor, I learned that only God matters and by giving myself to them, I received much more.
Favorite prayer or scriptural quote:
Genesis 12: 1-9 The Call of Abraham; Mark 10: 27 All things are possible with God; Psalms 62: My soul rests in God alone.
Favorite way to pray:
Personal prayer, but [I also] like to pray in community, especially the Office and Mass. Luke 5: 15-16 Jesus would often slip away to pray.
Blessings and challenges of community life:
I like to live in peace with everyone, but if there are conflicts among members of the community this makes me sad.
What I love most about being an MSC:
The missionary spirit of Mother Cabrini – love of God and to bring the Love of the Sacred heart to all people we nee4t, especially, with our good example.
Best loved ministry:
Healthcare because I met people in need, of all walks of life, rich and poor alike; Muslims, and Jews; Christians of all denominations.
What I do for enjoyment:
I like to travel. I love and contemplate nature, cultures and costumes. When I see the beauty of nature, I see God.
People might be surprised to know that I:
Am still in good health and in good spirits, willing to continue to work for the good of others.
My advice for those who are in discernment:
Don’t forget that God is the center of your life and he alone [is the one] you want to serve. If you come to the convent because of someone else, your vocation will not last.
Favorite resources that I would recommend for those in discernment:
Pray a lot, asking God to enlighten you to make the best decision to serve Him. Take your time and visit the sisters to get an idea if this is [the life] to which God is calling you.
