The Cabrini High School chapter of HOSA-Future Health Professionals demonstrated outstanding achievement at this year’s State Leadership Conference, with 15 students competing in more than 15 events and earning top honors. The chapter’s success highlights the remarkable number of Cabrini students pursuing careers in healthcare, from surgery and anesthesiology to nursing, sports medicine, physical therapy, and beyond.
HOSA-Future Health Professionals is a global, student-led organization that prepares aspiring healthcare professionals through education, competition, and leadership development.
Senior D’Niah Spriggins and Pre-Freshman Fiona DiPaola were recognized with the Outstanding Chapter Leader Award for their dedication and leadership within the school’s chapter. In the competitive events, Pre-Freshman Peri Smith secured first place in both Life-Threatening Situations and Prepared Speaking, while Pre-Freshman Gabriella Goodick also earned first place in Prepared Speaking. Fiona DiPaola also placed second in Life-Threatening Situations, while Junior Dylan Moisant and Sophomore Lorena Gonsoulin took home second place in the Public Service Announcement, and Lorena Gonsoulin was also awarded first place in Career Photography.
The Cabrini HOSA chapter was further distinguished as both a HOSA 100 Chapter and a Guardian Chapter, a reflection of its growth and commitment to excellence.
