What attracted me to a life as a Missionary Sister:
The life of Mother Cabrini, the missionary aspect, and the sisters were so kind.
Experience that convinced me that religious life was the right path for me:
I read the book entitled The Nun Story and saw the movie. I thought it would be my secret desire but would never do anything about it. When the priest in charge of our CCD asked me if I had ever thought of becoming a nun I knew that I had to do something about my secret desire.
Favorite prayer or scriptural quote:
I like Philippians 4:4-11 – Rejoice in the Lord always and Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 – There is a time for everything.
Favorite way to pray:
I love Charismatic prayer.
Blessings and challenges of community life:
I am currently missioned at Sacred Heart Convent in New York City.
Community support and accepting people the way they are.
What I love most about being an MSC:
Life of daily prayer and mission.
Best loved ministry:
Prison ministry and homeless ministry.
What I do for enjoyment:
Watching EWTN television and walking.
People might be surprised to know that I:
Love to dance to rock and roll and up-beat gospel music.
My advice for those who are in discernment:
Frequent Mass, reconciliation and rosary. Get a spiritual director.
