Friday, June 15th is the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
In her June letter to the Cabrinian Community, MSC Superior General Sr. Patricia Spillane writes, “the center of Cabrinian Life is the love that pours forth from the Heart of Jesus.”
Sr. Patricia goes on to say, “Mother Cabrini reminds us that each of us is precious in God’s sight and he lovingly invites each of us to participate in a particular role in his grand scheme of things – a role for which he has already endowed us with all the grace and talent we need to do his will. Fulfilling this role in his plan, growing in our Cabrini Missionary Identity – as sisters and laity – will be the greatest achievement of our life and will endow us with true creativity, happiness and peace, the greatest treasure we could ever possess….Let us pray for each other, that each of us may be capable of believing and growing in God’s plan for us and contributing to his vision of life, love and hope for 2012 and beyond.”
The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is the day on which all Missionary Sisters renew their consecrated vows.
