Cabrini of Westchester’s 304-bed St. Cabrini Nursing Home offers 24-hours skilled nursing care, short term rehabilitation affiliated with Rusk Rehabilitation Institute, post-hospital care, a special care dementia unit, scheduled respite stays and hospice care in collaboration with Jansen Hospice and Palliative Care. St. Cabrini’s hallmark of compassionate care extends into the community through St. Cabrini Long Term Home Health Care, the Monsignor Terence Attridge Adult Day Health Center and Cabrini Care at Home, a licensed home services agency and Cabrini Immigrant Services.

Completion of a $55 million major modernization early in 2009 will further St. Cabrini’s Person Centered Care initiative, which moves it toward a social model, away from the medical/institutional model on which nursing homes were founded. Improvements will enhance resident privacy and dignity (quadrupling the number of private rooms), promote a homier environment, and enhance working conditions. Residential areas will be organized into neighborhoods for a more community-like atmosphere.

St. Cabrini Nursing Home serves a population of diverse faiths, races and nations of origin. Religious programs, including daily Mass, are provided to meet residents’ varied preferences.
