Cabrini Immigrant Services, a storefront outreach center, operated under the aegis of St. Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry, NY, was inaugurated in 1998. Since its inception, the staff of Cabrini Immigrant Services has provided its clients with the means to facilitate the challenges of life in a new country – instruction in English; immigration issues; access to healthcare, education and employment, everyday concerns that can be overwhelming to those unfamiliar with the language and those without adequate resources. Cabrini Immigrant Services also provides advocacy services, after-school homework sessions, and a variety of parenting programs.
