Who Are the MSC's?
Bearers of St. Frances Cabrini's legacy serving those in need through works of healing, teaching, caring and giving - particularly addressing the needs and realities of women, children, immigrants and the elderly.. Read more...

As Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, our life and spirit flow from a missionary identity expressed in prayer, in community and in ministry. We strive to respond to others with compassion and to serve with excellence.  We seek to communicate God’s personal love in ways that touch hearts and inspire deeper relationships with God.

The Missionary Sisters are as diverse as the ministries in which we work. We are educators, nurses, social workers, campus ministers, pastoral care workers, spiritual directors, and administrators. As Mother Cabrini said, “there is room here for every talent and inclination.”

A hallmark of our community is hospitality. We welcome you  and invite you to share in our stories…

The Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (MSCs) is an international missionary congregation of women religious present on six continents and in sixteen countries of the world. The Institute is comprised of four provinces and one region. The Stella Maris Province encompasses ministries in Australia, the Philippines, Swaziland, Southern Africa, and the United States. In all the countries where we serve, we work in partnership with lay women and men. This has always been the hallmark of who we are as MSCs.

St. Frances Xavier Cabrini was born in 1850 in Lombardy, Italy. She founded one ministry for each year of her life. Read her story...
