Dear Partner in Mission,
Recently, President Trump signed a series of actions related to the border on “realigning” the Refugee Admission Program. Part of which will declare a national emergency at the southern border and will end automatic citizenship to children born in the U.S. to parents who don’t have legal status — a controversial constitutional question that is likely to face immediate legal challenges.
Many will suffer due to these actions but none more so than innocent children. The Cabrini Immigration Commission of the Guadalupe Province knows of the bullying that has been taking place with school children being told by their peers that they will be taken away from their parents; that they may never see their parents again; that they don’t belong in this country; and sadly, the list goes on and on.
One of our goals is to supply children’s books that may help educate children on immigration and welcoming the stranger among us. We plan on sharing them with agencies that work directly with immigrant children, schools who have larger immigrant populations, etc., and we are asking for your support to help make this happen.
Please see the following Amazon link where you can purchase books, and they will be sent directly to us for distribution. If you do not have an Amazon account, we hope you can purchase an Amazon gift card and send to our office so we, in turn, can purchase more books.
