The Archdiocese of Chicago has a rather extensive immigration ministry as part of its administrative organization. One aspect of the ministry actually focuses on non-immigrants, those people and parishes who are interested in helping educate others to the plight of immigrants/refugees.
The Immigration Parish Coordinator Committee educates on the Gospel message of welcoming the stranger to native-born parishes through brochures, bulletin announcements, liturgical calendars, speakers and immersion experiences.
