Saturday, September 17 a citizenship drive was held at St. Frances Cabrini Shrine in conjunction with the non-profit Dominicanos USA and the City University of NY. A team of 20 pro bono attorneys reviewed over 95 applications for U.S. citizenship. Seventeen applicants who lacked the ability to pay the application fee were granted fee waivers. Most applicants had lived in the U.S. for at least 10 years, with some here as long as 40.
