RADNOR, Pa. (July 1, 2016)—Nearly 60 years after welcoming its first class, today Cabrini College officially becomes a University. This morning Cabrini University unveiled a new logo, brand identity and website, and began to transition its Radnor, Pa., campus to reflect its new status.
The changeover also marks the official implementation of a new academic structure, which includes four academic schools: the School of Education; the School of Business, Arts, and Media; the School of Humanities and Social Sciences; and the School of Natural Sciences and Allied Health. A new Center for Student Success also is in place to better serve an increasingly diverse student body.
“Since its founding in 1957, Cabrini has dramatically and consistently expanded its programs and student population,” said Cabrini University President Donald B. Taylor, PhD. “The changes today reflect how Cabrini has continued to move forward while staying true to its mission. It’s a milestone that everyone in the Cabrini community—students, alumni, faculty, staff, parents and friends—have made possible.”
Cabrini will hold a celebration with day and evening events on Aug. 29, when students are back on campus. Events will include a town hall meeting with the President, a University-wide scavenger hunt, and an evening reception.
“Changing to Cabrini University is like a new beginning for our school,” said Francesca DiGregorio (’18). “It’s meaningful to me because it signifies our growth while providing us with even more opportunities in the future.”
