Cabrini missioners Michelle Sherman, Crystal Catalan and Mary Meleski arrived at Emmaus House on the Cabrini College campus last Wednesday, June 16th, for their final debriefing retreat. The retreat included time for personal prayer and reflection on the blessings of the year - both the rewards and the challenges - and time for sharing their mission stories with one another and the world.
Each missioner had the opportunity to speak at a Philadelphia area parish through the Mission Cooperation Plan of the Philadelphia Archdiocese's Society for the Propagation of the Faith. At St. Martin DePorres, St. John Bosco and Our Lady Help of Christians parishes, Michelle, Mary and Crystal each shared their story of this year and the story of Mother Cabrini and the charism with parishioners.
Finally, the debriefing program culminated with a trip to Sacred Heart Convent in New York City, where the Recommissioning Mass was held in the beautiful chapel among the many Cabrini Sisters and friends who have touched the lives of the missioners this year. Mass was followed by a delicious lunch in the Sisters' dining room.
Thank you to everyone who was there in person AND in Spirit with us and for all those who helped make it all happen! This has truly been a blessed year!
