Cabrini Ashwood Celebrates the Feast of the Sacred Heart

Following Mass, the residents enjoyed an international style lunch, which included a specially designed menu incorporating cultural dishes and cuisine to reflect the multinational community represented at Ashwood. Our residents enjoyed this meal with real celebration and our chef, Ashiya, baked heart-shaped biscuits for each resident. On 16th June, our staff continued the celebrations with a shared cultural meal held in the dining room. Staff members took delight in preparing dishes which were special for their own cultural tradition, and these were brought to the table and shared at lunch time. Their contributions, enriched by enticing and amazing flavors, were a source of enjoyment and community celebration during this octave of this special feast day which was significant for Mother Cabrini and of course, still is for the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart. |
