Mother Cabrini Shrine in Golden, Colorado had a special visitor last week. Brady Quinn, quarterback for the Denver Broncos, came to the Shrine for the first time and was given a tour by Sr. Patricia Dunleavy, MSC and Jeff Lewis, Shrine administrator.
After walking the 373 steps up to the Sacred Heart statue, visiting the chapel and the grotto area, Mr. Quinn autographed items to be auctioned in the upcoming annual Shrine gala. Brady Quinn, who is also a University of Notre Dame graduate and former ND quarterback, signs his autograph to include scripture. One of his favorite passages is from Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.” He was delighted to know that these were words which Mother Cabrini lived by and was very inspired by the story of Mother Cabrini and the Missionary Sisters as well as the beauty and serenity of Mother Cabrini Shrine. He intends to visit again. Go Brady and Go Broncos!
