Marianne McGowan and Maureen Bennett make their commitment as CLMs.
Learn more about Cabrini Lay Missionaries
Maureen Bennett, from Australia, who currently is serving with the Red Cross in Jerusalem, and Marianne McGowan, from New York, who is the Education Coordinator at Cabrini Immigrant Services, Dobbs Ferry, were received as the newest Cabrini Lay Missionaries by Sr. Pietrina Raccuglia, Provincial, and Patricia Krasnausky, Director of CLMs. At a joyful liturgy celebrated at the Stella Maris Provincial Assembly on Monday evening, October 19th, the two new CLMs made their initial one year commitment, witnessed by other CLMs from the Province, Cabrini lay collaborators from around the world, and over 50 Missionary Sisters, including Sr. Patricia Spillane, Superior General, and Sr. Joan McGlinchey, General Councilor. Both women have a long history of connectedness with the MSCs and have served in Cabrini ministries. Marianne and Maureen are joined as CLMS by Pat Krasnausky, Robin Larkins, Jayne Pickett and Adela Jarquin Soza. The community gathered, extended their hands, and gave the blessing:

“May God who has called you, grant you the graces and guidance needed. May your efforts on behalf of the Gospel, done in communion with all the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, bring God’s loving comfort, mercy and compassion to all those to whom you minister.”
