The Cabrini Mission Foundation's Cabrini Open golf outing was held on Thursday, September 24 at the beautiful North Hempstead Country Club in Port Washington, NY.
Co-chaired by CMF Board members Patrick Dunleavy and Marvell Scott, MD, the Foundation raised over $70,000 with 100 guests in attendance for the golf outing, cocktail reception, dinner and awards ceremony.
The two highlights of the day's festivities included a Cabrini Clinic where young ladies from St. Cabrini Home and Mother Cabrini High School received golf lessons from the North Hempstead Club pro. Additionally, well-known (!!) golfer Sr. Arlene Van Dusen, MSC, agreed to put her putting skills on display during the Cabrini Putting Challenge. Needless to say, Sr. Arlene dominated the competition as only a handful of tournament participants were able to get closer to the hole than her 20-foot putt that missed by a mere two feet.
