Sr. Renee Kittelson, MSC: An MSC Snapshot

Name of Missionary Sister: Sister Renee Kittelson, MSC

Current ministry: Manager of Cabrini Senior Housing and pro life

What attracted me to a life as a Missionary Sister: The life of Mother Cabrini, the missionary aspect, and the sisters were so kind.

Experience that convinced me that religious life was the right path for me:  I read the book entitled The Nun Story and saw the movie.  I thought would be my secret desire but would never do anything about it.  When the priest in charge of our CCD asked me if I had ever thought of becoming a nun I knew that I had to do something about my secret desire.

Favorite prayer or scriptural quote: I like Philippians 4:4-11 and Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.

Favorite way to pray:  I love Charismatic prayer.

Blessings and challenges of community life: I do not live with other sisters but I do live with some seniors citizens.  I am learning patience.

What I love most about being an MSC:  The vows are a blessing.

Best loved ministry: Intercessory and healing prayer.

What I do for enjoyment: I enjoy writing and speaking engagements.

People might be surprised to know that I… Love to dance to rock and roll and up-beat gospel music.

My advice for those who are in discernment: Frequent mass, reconciliation and rosary.  Get a spiritual director.

Favorite resources that I would recommend for those in discernment:
