Mother Cabrini High School
New York, United States
Founded in 1899 by St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, Mother Cabrini High School is an independent, college preparatory Catholic school for young women in grades 9-12. The mission of Mother Cabrini High School is to provide an unparalleled education of the mind, character, heart, and soul in a spiritual atmosphere that promotes a love of God, the pursuit of academic excellence and recognition of the dignity of each individual. Mother Cabrini High School is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and is the first Catholic high school in New York State to twice receive the U.S Department of Education’s “Blue Ribbon School of Excellence” award in 1986-1987 and 1997-1998.

Mother Cabrini High School serves approximately 420 young women who are predominantly Hispanic and African American from Manhattan and the Bronx. Seventy-eight percent of these young women come from families who are faced with many economic hardships. One hundred percent of graduates are accepted into college and many receive academic scholarships and grants.
